En el Border Collie podemos controlar genéticamente el CEA, CL, TNS y MDR1.
En el Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie), podemos hacerlo para CEA, DM, vWD III y MDR1.
La displasia de cadera y codo no puede ser controlada genéticamente por el momento, debemos testar a cada uno de los ejemplares. En nuestro caso nuestros ejemplares están testados y certificados por AVEPA.
